Cary Toastmasters
In 1924, in Santa Ana, California, a group assembled by Dr. Ralph C. Smedley met in the basement of the local YMCA to found a club designed “to afford practice and training in the art of public speaking and in presiding over meetings, and to promote sociability and good fellowship among its members.”
Today, Toastmasters International has numerous chapters nationwide. Cary Toastmasters meets every Monday morning from 7:00 to 8:00 AM at Perkins' Restaurant and Bakery (908 West US Highway 64, Apex, NC 27502.)
